Abstract
The Bu2SnCl2-2AgClO4 Combination shows promise as an activator for gly cosyl fluorides, as revealed by experiments with 2,3,4,6-tetra-O-benzy l-alpha-D-mannosyl fluoride as a model glycosyl donor in comparison wi th activators prepared in situ from five types of organotin chlorides (BU2SnCl2, Me2SnCl2, Bu3SnCl, Me3SnCl, and Ph3SnCl) in combination wit h silver perchlorate.
