Sb. Jennings et al., FATAL PULMONARY EMBOLUS FROM ISCHEMIC NECROSIS OF INTRACAVAL TUMOR THROMBUS - A CASE-REPORT, The Journal of urology, 150(5), 1993, pp. 1492-1495
Angioinfarction of renal tumors has been proposed as a preoperative ad
junct and as palliative therapy. Most side effects of angioinfarction
are transient and are well tolerated by the patient. We report a case
of fatal pulmonary embolus resulting from migration of an intracaval t
umor thrombus following renal arterial embolization.
