CARNEYS COMPLEX IN A PATIENT WITH HORMONE-PRODUCING SERTOLI-CELL TUMOR OF THE TESTICLE

Carney's complex is an unusual disorder consisting of a variety of end ocrinological and urological manifestations. The characteristic gonada l and adrenal features of Carney's complex should become familiar to u rologists. A patient was evaluated for obesity, cushingoid features, h yperlipidemia, glucose intolerance, coronary artery disease, a left ad renal mass, bilateral testicular masses and cardiac myxomas. Pathologi cal evaluation revealed the testicular tumors to be of Sertoli cell or igin, the adrenal mass to be an adrenocortical adenoma and intracardia c lesions consistent with myxomas. The features of Carney's complex ar e discussed.
