Abstract
Two monoclonal antibodies, TuMark-BTA and MGH-1, were evaluated in pat ients with benign pathology, history of transitional cell carcinoma wi th no active disease and active transitional cell carcinoma. Both anti bodies were accurate in predicting carcinoma in approximately two-thir ds of patients. TuMark showed a 74% sensitivity and 50% specificity, w hile MGH-1 was more sensitive (86%) and less specific (38%). Positive predictive values for TuMark and MGH-1 were 79% and 78%, respectively.
