I. Racz et al., CRYSTALLINITY AND ACCESSIBILITY OF FIBROUS CARBOXYMETHYLCELLULOSE BY PAD-ROLL TECHNOLOGY, Journal of applied polymer science, 62(12), 1996, pp. 2015-2024
Statistically designed experiments have been made on partially carboxy
methylated cotton fabric. The effect of the reaction parameters (conce
ntration of sodium hydroxide and monochloroacetic acid and period of t
ime) on the crystallinity (measured by x-ray diffraction), on the iodi
ne sorption and on the disorder of amorphous fraction (calculated from
iodine sorption capacity) are presented by polynomial models. (C) 199
