A survey of 18 combined Baccalaureate-M.D.degree Programs shows that s
tudents entering the first year of the program directly from high scho
ol in 1990-91 exceeded minimum expected standardized tests scores, gra
de point averages, and class rank. In the same academic year, 7% of th
e matriculants, on average, failed to meet requirements for subsequent
entry into the medical school phase of the programs.
