Abstract
Diffraction by a short rectilinear crack in a thin elastic plate which is in a contact with a uniform acoustic half-space is investigated. T he asymptotic forms of the radiation patterns of the scattered waves a re constructed. The results obtained are compared with the scattering diagram of flexural waves at a crack in an isolated plate.
