Abstract
The effect of salt (NaBr) on the micellar structure of the nonionic su rfactant Triton X-100 was studied by small-angle scattering of neutron s. The dimensions of the micelles were found to decrease with the incr easing ionic strength of the solution. For a model representing the mi cellar objects by a system of ellipsoids of revolution with screened C oulomb potential, the surface potential and the amount of ions adsorbe d by micellar surfaces were calculated.
