Abstract
Inverse gas chromatography is used to study sorption of some organic s ubstances by porous methacrylic terpolymers. The glass transition temp eratures of the terpolymers are determined, which increase with the co ntent of styrene. The second-order phase transition is discovered with hexane and cyclohexane as sorbates. A suggestion is made that sorptio n and dissolution of various polar substances take place in the region s enriched with epoxypropyl groups, whereas hexane is sorbed and disso lves in the styrene-containing regions of the terpolymers.
