The effect of polyethylene and polypropylene glycols on the mechanical
parameters of cement hardening structures in the processes of formati
on and testing under constant humidity is studied. A quantitative esti
mation of the effect of these additives on the value of internal micro
stresses (mode II) at various stages of hardening is made using an ori
ginal X-ray diffraction technique. The results are analyzed within the
basic concepts of physicochemical mechanics.
