DIAGNOSTIC AND THERAPEUTIC STEREOTAXIC CEREBRAL ENDOSCOPY

Modem neuro-imaging caused a renewed interest in endoscopic techniques . Several indications for stereotactic endoscopy are illustrated. A pr ototype of a new four channel endoscope is used. Lesions in the poster ior part of the third ventricle and even the fourth ventricle are reac hable for biopsy. Cystic intra- or paraventricular lesions can be appr oached stereotactically and treated. Continuous rinsing is mandatory t o preserve a clear vision.
