In this part of the investigation fluid flow around two different arra
ngements of tubes in an infinite surrounding and heat transfer is cons
idered. With a finite element method the velocity, pressure and temper
ature field are calculated. The results are discussed and compared wit
h the results of the preceeding parts. Streamline plots show that the
fluid is flowing primarily around the tube arrangement. Only to a lase
r degree is the fluid flowing through the arrangement. In the range of
low values of the Reynoldsnumber the tube arrangement is a compact ob
stacle to the flowing fluid. This has also a very pronounced effect on
heat transfer.
