Abstract
Ba1-xKxBiO3(BKBO)/natural-barrier/Au junctions were fabricated and the potential structure of the barrier was investigated. These junctions showed very clear gap structure in the I-V characteristics. The energy gap parameter DELTA was estimated to be 3.5 meV, which yielded 2DELTA /k(B)T(czero)=3.8. The potential structure of the barrier was estimate d assuming a trapezoidal potential, which was revealed to be a good ap proximation. The barrier heights at the BKBO side and Au side were app roximately 100 meV and approximately 300 meV, respectively, and the th ickness of the barrier was 30 angstrom.
