Abstract
In the paper the BEM and FEM results have been compared in the context of 2D electromagnetic field analysis in a zoned medium with eddy curr ent subregions. The practical problem concerning the turbogenerator en d region has been discussed. The magnetic flux density over the surfac e of the end package and the current density in the non-magnetic press ure prate have been analysed.
