Abstract
In this article the cognitive-oriented approach in neuropsychological therapy is presented with a special emphasis on the question of the me asurement of its effectiveness. The main paradigms which can be used i n single-case treatments are presented and discussed. It is argued tha t the single-case approach does not constitute an obstacle to the eval uation of the treatment outcomes, but, on the contrary, may help to cl arify the specificity of the treatment effects.
