Abstract
Single-crystal (001) Cu/Ni superlattices were successfully grown on th
e (001) GaAs substrates and the (111) Cu/Ni superlattices on the (111)
yttrium-stabilized zirconium substrates by molecular beam epitaxy. Th
e velocity of the surface acoustic phonon increases with decreasing mo
dulation wavelength. This result is quite different from those previou
sly reported.
