Abstract
Antiparallel alignment states are confirmed in Fe/Cr and NiFe(Permallo y)/Cu/Co/Cu multilayers by polarized neutron diffraction. The magnetor esistance change is quantitatively related to the square of the differ ence of magnetization vectors of two magnetic layers when the magnetic structures are regarded as single domains.
