Abstract
The ternary multilayer films Ag/Co/Pd and Pd/Co/Ag were synthesized by the sputtering method. Ag/Co/Pd and Pd/Co/Ag multilayers have fcc[Ill ] texture. The easy magnetization axis was perpendicular to the basal plane for the films Ag(20 angstrom)/Co(2 angstrom)/Pd(20 angstrom) and Pd(20 angstrom)/Co(2 angstrom)/Ag(20 angstrom). Pd(20 angstrom)/Co(x angstrom)/Ag(20 angstrom) and Ag(20 angstrom)/Co(x angstrom)/Pd(20 ang strom)(x greater-than-or-equal-to 10) samples showed in-plane magnetiz ation,
