Abstract
Spin waves in Co/Gd ferrimagnetic multilayers have been studied via Br illouin scattering. Satisfactory agreement between measurement and cal culation was found at room temperature, based on a magnetostatic appro ximation. At 79 K the Gd contributed to the observed spectral with res ultant spreading of the spin wave frequencies.
