Abstract
The composition and temperature dependence of the magnetoresistance (M R) ratio and exchange coupling strength have been measured for antifer romagnetically coupled Fe-Co-Ni/Cu multilayers with coherent gamma-pha se (fcc,100) structures. The MR ratio shows a maximum for Co/Cu system s, and the coupling strength is maximal for Co90Fe10/Cu systems. The c ompositional variation of the coupling parameter cannot be explained f rom the RKKY model.
