Abstract
Based on the linear response theory, we propose a theoretical framewor k to deal with the difference between resistivities for currents perpe ndicular and parallel to the layer planes of multilayers. Numerical ca lculations of the resistivity and magnetoresistance ratio for perpendi cular and parallel currents are performed using a simplified multilaye r structure.
