Abstract
The results of model calculations are reported for magnetoresistance i n thin multilayers and periodic superlattices. The numerical results s how that random distributions of magnetic and nonmagnetic ions in inte rfacial layers give rise to magnetoresistance with qualitatively the s ame pattern of behaviour in the two systems.
