Abstract
The magnetic anisotropy dispersion of Fe/Fe-Hf-C multilayers was found to be smaller than that of Fe-Hf-C single-layer films, in addition to the higher saturation magnetization of 2.0 T. This is considered to b e due mainly to the enhancement of intergranular exchange coupling bet ween Fe caused by the reduction of net volume fraction of nonmagnetic HfC articles at the rain boundaries.
