H. Homma et Ee. Alp, APPLICATION OF MULTILAYERS OF (SNO2)-SN-119 (SNO2)-SN-120 TO A COHERENT NUCLEAR RESONANT MONOCHROMATOR FOR SYNCHROTRON-RADIATION - DESIGN/, Journal of magnetism and magnetic materials, 126(1-3), 1993, pp. 593-594
We have designed multilayered nuclear monochromators of (SnO2)-Sn-119/
(SnO2)-Sn-120 with a modulation wavelength of 20-40 angstrom and 25-50
bilayers as an alternative method to a grazing-incidence antireflecti
on thin film. Our goal is to fabricate a monochromator for a synchrotr
on radiation source, and to achieve a nuclear reflectivity of approxim
ately 0.3 at a relatively high incidence angle of approximately 7 mrad
with an energy resolution of approximately 0.5 mueV (i.e. 10GAMMA, wh
ere GAMMA = 5.15 x 10(-8) eV).
