Sm. Howdle et Vn. Bagratashvili, THE EFFECTS OF FLUID DENSITY ON THE ROTATIONAL RAMAN-SPECTRUM OF HYDROGEN DISSOLVED IN SUPERCRITICAL CARBON-DIOXIDE, Chemical physics letters, 214(2), 1993, pp. 215-219
The rotational Raman spectrum of hydrogen dissolved in supercritical c
arbon dioxide (scCO2) is investigated. As the pressure, and hence dens
ity of the solution is increased, the lines broaden dramatically. The
line broadening is compared with that of the vibrational line Q1(1) an
d possible explanations for the behaviour, related to solvent-solute i
nteractions, are discussed.
