By inelastic neutron scattering we determine the dynamic structure fac
tor S(k, co) of a dense He-Ar ps mixture. S(k, omega)) is the sum of t
wo Gaussians in frequency omega with halfwidths omega(H)Ar(k) much les
s than omega(H)He(k) the decay rates of fluctuations in the density of
Ar and He atoms. The results agree with the Enskog theory.
