Abstract
Three hundred adolescents completed a Dutch version of the Dellas Iden tity Status Inventory-Occupation (DISI-O). Reliability of the five sub scales ranged from ''sufficient'' to ''very good,'' and the four ident ity status classifications accommodated about 90% of the respondents. As expected, achievement and social support by friends in the educatio nal setting stimulated development of occupational identity.
