Y. Purushotham et al., ELECTRICAL-CONDUCTIVITY AND THERMOPOWER STUDIES OF TITANIUM-SUBSTITUTED LITHIUM-MAGNESIUM FERRITES, Materials letters, 17(6), 1993, pp. 341-345
Electrical conductivity (sigma) and thermoelectric power (S) of polycr
ystalline titanium-substituted lithium-magnesium ferrites having diffe
rent compositions are investigated in the temperature range 300-800 K.
The composition dependences of electrical resistivity and thermopower
seem to vary almost similarly. Both the electrical transport properti
es are found to exhibit clear and well-defined transitions near the Cu
rie temperature. A qualitative explanation for the observed phenomena
both at room temperature and higher temperatures is given.
