Abstract
Raman and infrared spectra of 4-ketopimelic acid and its potassium sal ts in aqueous solution were recorded from 4000 to 200 cm-1. The analys is of the polarization of the Raman lines indicated that 4-ketopimelic acid and its acid and neutral salts belong to the C(s) group. An assi gnment of the observed lines as fundamentals is proposed.
