S. Mailhot et N. Mccarthy, INFLUENCE OF PHASE-CONJUGATE OPTICAL FEEDBACK ON THE EMISSION PROPERTIES OF VISIBLE LOW-POWER DIODE-LASERS, Canadian journal of physics, 71(9-10), 1993, pp. 429-433
A significant narrowing of the longitudinal-mode spectrum of continuou
s-wave visible gain-guided diode lasers was achieved by using an exter
nal cavity bounded by a phase conjugate mirror. Longitudinal-mode disc
rimination was further improved by inserting a thin etalon in the exte
rnal cavity. With this technique, the coherence length of the laser be
am has been increased by a factor of 4 and the emission wavelength was
tunable over a range of 1.4 nm, at constant temperature.
