A. Osman et al., MAGNETIC FORM-FACTORS FOR A TRINUCLEON SYSTEM USING DIFFERENT MESON-EXCHANGE NUCLEON-NUCLEON INTERACTIONS, Canadian journal of physics, 71(9-10), 1993, pp. 455-461
The magnetic form factors for the He-3 and H-3 nuclei have been calcul
ated for different values of momentum transfer. The three-nucleon grou
nd-state wave function is expressed in momentum space and is obtained
from the solution of the Faddeev equations with realistic two-body pot
entials. The potential used is taken from the meson theory to include
different meson-exchange contributions satisfying the requirements of
current conservation. The different meson-exchange currents and their
contributions to the trinucleon magnetic form factors are calculated.
The virtual DELTA-excitation and the meson-nucleon vertices form facto
rs are included in the He-3 and H-3 magnetic-form-factors calculations
. The present results show the importance of the higher momentum trans
fer region as being a good source of information to the short-range pr
ocesses in the nuclear medium. Our results for the He-3 and H-3 magnet
ic form factors are in good agreements with the experimental data. The
inclusion of the rho and omega meson exchanges improves the agreement
between positions of the minima of the magnetic form factors predicte
d and the experimental data.
