Abstract
We discuss the dynamical equations for the piNNN-NNN system. We introd uce the Afnan-Blankleider-Avishai-Mizutani equations in a very direct and immediate way, using the diagrammatic method and special propertie s of the four-body transition operators. The connection between this f our-body unitary theory and a more phenomenological model for the He-3 + pi-->NNN process, recently developed by the authors, is established .
