Abstract
A circular microstrip patch antenna for use with an L-band receiver is described. By incorporating a varactor diode into the antenna, the us eful bandwidth of the inherently narrowband microstrip patch antenna i s greatly enhanced. The varactor diode is biased by microprocessor-con trolled digital-to-analog converter circuitry that simulates the recei ver's microprocessor.
