Abstract
Incoherent co-tunnelling in metallic ultrasmall-tunnel-junction system s is studied at high temperature, k(B)T greater than or similar to E(C ), in a constant-lifetime approach involving intermediate virtual stat es. For the double junction the resulting conductance increases linear ly with the temperature. For the serial array a sharp drop off of the conductance with the number of junctions in the array is found.
