V. Hizhnyakov et I. Tehver, RESONANCE RAMAN-SCATTERING OF MULTIMODE SYSTEMS - FOURIER AMPLITUDE APPROACH, Journal of Raman spectroscopy, 24(10), 1993, pp. 653-660
The time-dependent description of resonance Raman scattering of multim
ode systems is presented and discussed. The basic quantities of the th
eory are the Fourier transforms of the Raman amplitudes. For a number
of vibronic models they are related to the optical absorption. These r
elationships enable one to transform the absorption spectrum to the Ra
man excitation profiles. In the transform method, model parameters are
needed only for the Raman mode; the multimode information is automati
cally included via the measured optical absorption. The method holds f
or an arbitrary temperature. Transform relationships are derived for t
he basic model of linear vibronic coupling and for more complicated mo
dels including linear non-Condon interaction, frequency shifts and mod
e mixing with electronic excitation, the Jahn-Teller effect and inhomo
geneous broadening.
