The spectra and the kinetics of the pbotoconductivity of a n-Pb1-xMnxT
e/p-PbTe/BaF2 (x almost-equal-to 0.02) heterostructure were determined
during he passage of a current through the heterojunction. The photor
esponse signal had two slowly decaying components, one of which exhibi
ted a temperature dependence of the relaxation time of the thermal-act
ivation type. The red edge of the photoconductivity spectrum was shift
ed toward longer wavelengths compared with the corresponding photolumi
nescence line. The experimental results were used to construct the ene
rgy diagram of the heterojunction with a conduction-band offset approx
imately 68 meV.
