Yv. Bazhanov et al., MONOBLOCK POLYCHROMATOR USING FIBER OPTICS FOR TEST AND DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEMS, Soviet journal of optical technology, 60(9), 1993, pp. 650-651
Sensors are proposed and designed for determining the concentration of
luminescing impurities in various process media. The sensors consist
of a quartz monoblock with a concave diffraction replica grating and c
onnecting optical fibers. This makes it possible to combine in one opt
ical element the collimating, dispersive, and focusing properties requ
ired for spectral analysis. Comparison of the signal level signal prod
uced by the radiation detector responding to the fluorescence intensit
y of a substance being monitored and the signal in the comparison chan
nel makes it possible to monitor the concentration with respect to a p
redetermined concentration dependence.
