Two different methods for the synthesis of 4-azaacronycine (10) have b
een described. One route with a fusion reaction between 1,3-dihydroxy-
10-methyl-9(10H)-acridinone (1) and 2-amino-2-methyl-3-butyne in a gla
ss ampoule and the other by a reaction of 3-amino-1-methoxy-10-methyl-
9(10H)-acridinone (9) with 2-chloro-2-methyl-3-butyne.
