Abstract
This article describes responses and interventions to transitions in h ealth status for HIV asymptomatic clients in support groups. Two case illustrations are presented to illustrate escalating psychological dis tress in group members after experiencing HIV symptomatology through a group member. In addition, techniques to facilitate group adjustment are identified.
