Abstract
By means of single crystal X-ray analysis of dendranthemoside A pentaa cetate, the absolute configuration of the asymmetric center at the 9-p osition was determined to be R. The configurations of three other posi tions, which had been determined to be 3S, 5R and 6S by application of beta-D-glucosylation induced shift trends, were verified.
