D. Sturzbecher, THE FAMILY-INTERACTION-TEST FOR PRESCHOOL -CHILDREN (FIT-K) - HOW CHILDREN ASSESS PARENTAL SUPPORT AND CONFLICT BEHAVIOR, PSYCHOLOGIE IN ERZIEHUNG UND UNTERRICHT, 40(4), 1993, pp. 249-262
The family interaction-test, a child-suitable diagnostic method for pr
eschool children (FIT-K) and test results are presented. With the help
of the FIT-K, features of parental support and conflict behavior as p
erceived by the child are recorded, and connections to parental reflec
tions in this matter as well as structural and socio-economic features
of the families investigated. Mothers see themselves as more comforti
ng, more encouraging and more helpful towards their children than the
children themselves judge this. The way she's seen by her partner does
n't confirm the child's image.
