Part of a large study evaluating an experimental online library catalo g interface, this preliminary study considers the extent to which rese arch orientation, interdisciplinary work, and disciplinary differences are associated with use of information sources, with extent of comput er-mediated communication, and with experiencing scientific informatio n overload.
