Abstract
The Integrated Information Center Project at the University of Minneso ta is a three-year federally funded project whose purpose is to implem ent and evaluate an integrated information center in an academic envir onment. The concept of an integrated information center envisioned an organizational entity which employed a variety of information technolo gies to capture, integrate, and provide scholarly and administrative r esources to an administratively discrete end user population within an organization. As such new organizational forms are developed, it beco mes increasingly necessary to have effective means of evaluating them. This paper describes the approach of a research study that is evaluat ing the impact of an integrated information center. Though the paper d escribes only the design of the evaluation effort, it is expected by t hat by the time of the conference, at least the initial results will b e available for presentation.
