Abstract
Small system water suppliers in the State of Michigan were surveyed to determine the influence of an educational fact sheet on their attitud es toward the lead and copper rule. A pre-test/post-test questionnaire and information sheet about the lead and copper rule were mailed to e ach supplier. A paired t-test, test-retest correlation, and McNemar Ch i Square were utilized to analyze the data. There was a 26 percent ret urn rate. Results indicated that educating water suppliers about the p urpose of and the expected benefits from the implementation of this ru le can be beneficial not only by informing them but also kv promoting a positive view toward this regulatory requirement.
