Rl. Mcgill, THE INFLUENCE OF AN EDUCATIONAL FACT SHEET ON SMALL SYSTEM WATER SUPPLIER ATTITUDES TOWARD THE LEAD AND COPPER RULE, Journal of environmental health, 56(4), 1993, pp. 11-15
Small system water suppliers in the State of Michigan were surveyed to
determine the influence of an educational fact sheet on their attitud
es toward the lead and copper rule. A pre-test/post-test questionnaire
and information sheet about the lead and copper rule were mailed to e
ach supplier. A paired t-test, test-retest correlation, and McNemar Ch
i Square were utilized to analyze the data. There was a 26 percent ret
urn rate. Results indicated that educating water suppliers about the p
urpose of and the expected benefits from the implementation of this ru
le can be beneficial not only by informing them but also kv promoting
a positive view toward this regulatory requirement.
