Z. Juvancz et al., PHARMACEUTICAL APPLICATIONS OF A BONDED CYCLODEXTRIN STATIONARY-PHASE, The Journal of microcolumn separations, 5(5), 1993, pp. 459-468
Open tubular columns were coated with Chirasil-Dex, a polysiloxane anc
hored permethylated beta-cyclodextrin stationary phase. A number of ch
iral separations of pharmaceuticals and agrichemicals are presented to
demonstrate the usefulness of this stationary phase in both GC and SF
C. Racemates of various amines, amino acids, amino alcohols, carboxyli
c acids, coumarines, diols, and imides were resolved. To achieve accep
table separation of some enantiomers, a series of derivatives were stu
died. In many cases, cyclic derivatives and free acids gave the highes
t enantioselectivity.
