Abstract
The mycorrhizae of Entoloma saepium on Rosa sp. are comprehensively de scribed and compared to other mycorrhizae of the genus Entoloma, as we ll as to similar unidentified mycorrhizae known from the literature. E . saepium appears to be more a parasite than a symbiont, as it invades and almost completely destroys the root meristem and young root cells .
