Rc. Gorman et al., ENTEROENTERIC INTUSSUSCEPTION DUE TO A METASTATIC MALIGNANT FIBROUS HISTIOCYTOMA, Journal of surgical oncology, 54(3), 1993, pp. 203-205
Intussusception secondary to metastatic sarcoma is an unusual cause of
small bowel obstruction. When a patient who has no history of a previ
ous laparotomy, and has a known malignancy which metastasized hematoge
nously, presents with small bowel obstruction, the diagnosis of intuss
usception should be considered. The patient should be evaluated and tr
eated accordingly. (C) 1993 Wiley-Liss, Inc.
