L. Petersen et al., MALE GENITOURINARY TUBERCULOSIS - REPORT OF 12 CASES AND REVIEW OF THE LITERATURE, Scandinavian journal of urology and nephrology, 27(3), 1993, pp. 425-428
The incidence of genitourinary tuberculosis is constant in western cou
ntries, despite dramatically falling prevalence of pulmonary tuberculo
sis. The kidney is especially involved in urinary tuberculosis, and ge
nital tuberculosis mostly affects the epididymis in males and the fall
opian tubes in females. Twelve cases of male genitourinary tuberculosi
s are presented and the literature is briefly reviewed.
