Ym. Artemev et al., TEMPERATURE-RANGE FOR THE INTERACTION OF DIETHYLZINC WITH PARTIALLY DEHYDROXYLATED AEROSILOGEL, Journal of applied chemistry of the USSR, 65(10), 1992, pp. 1858-1861
The temperature dependence (300-400 K) of the quantitative adsorption
of zinc (from reaction with diethyizinc) on Aerosilogel has been studi
ed by the oilless high vacuum technique. Infrared spectra (3900-2700 c
m-1) were obtained in situ for samples of Aerosilogel after treatment
with diethylzinc. The temperature range (370-420 K) was established in
which the zinc concentration was practically temperature independent.
It is proposed from a comparison of results from analytical chemical
and IR spectroscopic studies that the reaction of diethylzinc with sil
anol groups determines the zinc content in the 370-420 K range.
