Abstract
To increase the accuracy of the determination of the acidity of indust rial cracking catalysts, the acidity of an aluminosilicate catalyst, k aolin, and their mixtures were studied chromatographically with respec t to the reversible adsorption of pyridine. It was shown that a correc t evaluation of the economic effect of the catalyst requires a determi nation of the total acidity with respect to reversibly and irreversibl y chemisorbed titrants.
